Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Team: DataPower Gateway Development

Role and Responsibilities:

As a member of the DataPower Gateway team, you will manage, build, and optimize tools, processes, and environments necessary for creating world-class products. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing virtualized environments and automating routine tasks.
• Overseeing physical server management and driving processes from the initial software build pipeline to final release.
• Collaborating across teams to ensure consistency in security policies and optimized access for a variety of workloads including APIs, web, mobile, B2B, and cloud.
• Helping to ensure the product is secure, efficient, and delivers the highest quality.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred).

Experience: 2-5 years in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or others.

Expertise in Linux and system administration.

Proficiency in version control tools like Git or Perforce.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to changing technologies and team requirements.

Capacity to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.

Flexibility to provide off-hours and weekend support as needed.

Ability to physically handle and set up large servers in a lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with VMWare ESXi and virtualization technologies.

Familiarity with debugging hardware systems and network appliances.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis, and Tekton.

Experience with container applications and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
